Philipp F. Urban, head of the German leather goods association, Bundesverband Lederwaren, stated on Thursday that the war in Iraq has already negatively effected leather goods business. He also revealed that exports of German leather goods producers to approx. 100 countries has fallen by 33 per cent, to € 136m, within the last four years.
