According to statistics of Brazilian foreign trade bureau, foreign trade between China and Brazil amounted to US$ 2.51 billion in the first five months with an increase of 135%. Brazil exported US$ 1.773 billion to China, accounting for 6.53% in total export, an increase of 230% over last year’s US$ 537 million.
Brazil imported US$ 736 million from China with an increase of 39% over last year’s US$529 million, accounting for 3.87% in total imports of Brazil. In the first five months, trade surplus in favor of Brazil hit US$1.037 billion.
In May, foreign trade of Sino-Brazil amounted to US$759 million with an increase of 209% over last year’s US$245 million, 22.61%, and higher than in last April (US$ 619 million). Brazil exported US $ 588 million to China, 378% higher than Maylast year (US$ 123 million). Brazil imported US$ 170 million ,an increase of 39.9% than May last year (US$ 122 million ), 3.03% higher than last April. (US$ 165 million)
