The Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair 2003 and Hong Kong Houseware Fair 2003 opened in Hongkong on July 23.
According to the organizers of the fairs, about 3,800 exhibitors from 31 countries, and over 60 overseas buyer groups have come to Hong Kong to attend the 4-day fairs.
The organizers said the response to the two fairs will be the indicators for measuring Hong Kong's status of economic recovery.
Hong Kong's export of gifts and household goods increased by 6 percent and 11 percent respectively in the first five months of 2003, as compared to the same period in 2002.
