In the first quarter of 2009, Dalian garment manufactures suffered a lot by the world finiancial crisis.

Facing the crisis, under the govenment support, Dalian garment manufacturers tried to seek more opportunities. The Dalian Garment Industry Public Service Platform was started up. They held a series of activities, such as " China Ancient and ethnic garment exhibition" and "Dalian Cup Young Fashion designers contest". These activies prompelled Dalian garment industry marched from "Made-in-China" to " Create-in-China".

In 2009, Dalian garment industry sales turnover reached 16.48billion RMB(Yuan), increased by 19.4%;export turnover reached 14.92billion RMB(Yuan), inceased by 36%; net profit is 0.83billion RMB(Yuan), increased by 73.5%.

In 2010, Dalian Garment Industry Association will be focused on building public service platform and support enterprises to inaugurate home and abroad new markets.
