New Conception of "Strong Garment Country" on China

The vice president of China Garment Association Mr Hengjie Jiang reconfirmmed that in the future decades years, China as a "Strong Garment Contry" shall be described in 4 characters: first, China shall be on the leading position in the global garment industry chain, including R&D,technical and industry standard.; Secondly, China fashion culture shall in possession of International Speaking power.China fashion brands will no longer to be a flash in the pan in the fashion capitals such as London, Milan, NY, Tokyo. With the upgrade of nation's status and reputation, China fashion brands shall set up perpetuity fashion model; the influence of China fashion brands shall extend to the world, China shall create world famous name brands, build meaningful and touching garment culture; lastly, China garment manufacturers shall improve anti-risk ability and have the power of controlling the world market so as to impact the changing global market .

A suyvey shows that the investment of international name luxury brands on R&D is about 7%~8% of its turnover, some up to 12%, however, in China, the investment on R&D is only 3% in average.The processing profit is only accounting 25% of the whole industry chain. Due to short investment on R&D and advanced machines, garment industry is only a labour-intensive industry in China. It is none bussiness of high return and high profit.

The vice president of China Garment Association Mr Hengjie Jiang said:" The situation and thought of thinking have changed,status and insight have widened, we shall look on the global garment markets with evolution and development insight.We shall make a good plan and keep on working."
